“In A Dark Wood Wandering”  16” x 20” oil on canvas.  I’ve always liked this title.  I’m stealing it from a book by Hella Haasse.  I think she stole it from a translation of the Divine Comedy in which Dante begins his travels in this way.  I could have that wrong, but even if it is an error, it is how I imagine the phrase… and the painting.
